Oliver Twist
This book is named Oliver twist, and it is a realistic novel of the
British author Charles Dickens. This story based on the background of London,
long time ago. It tells the tragic life experience and encounter of an orphan. The
main character Oliver grew up in an orphanage, experienced apprenticeship hard
refugees, also had so much hard time being as a hobo. I thought the Author who builds
up all these stories is amazing. Moreover, it had the remarkable story-lines
with high quality of the basics. This story shows us obviously, the aspects of
the 14 century England and how the adult corrupted. This book was amazing.
Les Miserable
This book is
named Les Miserable, and
it is Victor Hugo's novel. This book is
about the story of Jean Val jean who has finally released after spending nineteen
years in jail and in the galleys for stealing a loaf of bread and for several
attempts to escape. I thought indeed, person's good things can be forgotten due
to tiny wrong mistake (steal a loaf of bread) and is it reasonable and proper.
Or indeed, steel bread for the hungry nephew is large enough to be put in jail
for many years. And I could realize the respect for human rights was not
received well in that period.
